it looks like a good idea to store the dead without needing so much land. do u know why it is outside the cemetery wall? i would have thought it should be inside. it is as if they are unauthorised. built by the poor who cannot afford graves in the cemetary. is that so?
Tomb apartment is common in the Philippines because it’s affordable to the poor. As to why those are on the pavement outside the public cemetery, either there’s no more space inside so it’s a spillover, but more likely it’s similar to illegal settlement (squatters) just like what you think.
