God in Mud Flaps

image

Gift of God / Smile God Love You

Every space in a jeepney can be a venue for masa art. Images such as zodiac stickers and Jesus Christ, writings such as dedications and Bible verses and also borloloys such as horns and horses. Philippines is predominantly Christian country so it’s not a wonder that in a span of 30 minutes I’ve sighted 3 mud flaps with God phrase.

Off to School in a Boat

Around 7 in the morning, primary and secondary students from the water village were off to school located just within the water village (Kampong Ayer) or in schools in the land across in Bandar Seri Begawan.

I'm not confident when it comes balancing myself in boarding and alighting from the boat, while they all looked so used to it

Paper Bus Tickets

These are paper bus tickets used by city buses in Metro Manila and are issued manually by bus conductors by handing out the tickets to each passenger inside the bus in their seat or standing position. Imagine a bus conductor negotiating his way inside a full-packed standing bus just to hand the tickets.

Motorela

This is a tricycle that looks like a mini jeepney or a multicab. I’ve seen this type of trike in Camiguin, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon provinces.
In Malaybalay City it functions like a shared taxi while in Cagayan de Oro City it works like a jeepney system.

The pictures here are from Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
